A total number of participating clubs will be reduced to 13 as VEF Riga has refused to play. The regular season is to start at the end of September and to finish no later than 12th June 2020. The best 8 teams will advance to the playoffs. The playoff format itself was changed as all the series will be played by 1-1-1.
