Dusan ALIMPIJEVIC
Avtodor head coach:
“It’s difficult to say something after such tough loss. I’m extremely disappointed. We knew before that this game against Kataja will not be the same like we had in Saratov when we played very good. The Finnish team didn’t have any wins in our group before so it was do-or-die game for them. I expected they would play with a lot of energy. We also faced a lot of problems during our road to Finland. Our flight was delayed, we got small time to recover and no time at all for the practice. Some of our players were not well-prepared to the game due to small injuries and Kravish was not able to participate. Of course, I admit all these things couldn't be excuses to lose such a game. We all recognize it was our worst game in the past two months. We still have everything in our hands in the FIBA Europe Cup and must complete this round at the top of our group that is really important for us. We also have a tough schedule ahead and must recover ourselves to be prepared to very important home games against BC Khimki, ZZ Leiden and BC Astana.”
