Last season the university of Georgia alumni was the leader of ESSM Le Portel (France) and helped the team to reach the FIBA Europe Cup Quarterfinals. His successful performance allowed Golden to take part in the French ProA All Star Game in December 2017 and to be selected in the All-FIBA Europe Cup First Team by Eurobasket.com. His average statistics in 34 games of the French Pro A League were 16.4 points (impressive 40.7% from the arc), 4.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals for 29.8 minutes. The American guard has also played 17 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 15.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 0.7 steals per 25.8 minutes. Golden also played in Finland, Cyprus and Italy earlier.
