Andrea MAZZON
Avtodor head coach:
“It’s always nice to travel to Moscow. This is a great city. I’ve been here many times as a coach of the European clubs. Of course, we had good moments in the game. But CSKA started to overpower us physically in the 3rd quarter. They were aggressive. We have a young team and they make mistakes characteristic of newcomers. But we tried nonetheless. There are a lot of positives to take from playing against one of the top teams in Europe. Avtodor played a really good game for 20 minutes. But after that fatigue and short rotation didn't help us. After the game I told few things to the players and what I think we can do this season, but it will stay between us.
Now I hope we can have Clarke and of course AK back as soon as possible, because it is obvious we need them. But no matter what we'll go and play in Lithuania with the Avtodor fighting spirits and aggressiveness as usual. I am really positive and proud that some young players like Mikhailovskii and Pavlenko had a chance to play vs CSKA and learn from super players, because Nikita and Denis will help the team if they'll continue to improve like that.”
