Despite of the 66-85 road loss in Larnaca, Nevezis Kedainiai (Lithuania) became the winner of the two-game clash in the FIBA Europe Cup Qualification Round 1 due to the huge 90-60 win at home over AEK Larnaca. Now Nevezis will be the rival of Avtodor in Group B of the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. Valery Likhodey, the Russian forward playing for BC Khimki Moscow region last season, is currently one of the key players of the Lithuanian squad.
Adding to Avtodor and Nevezis, the Portugese champion SL Benfica Lisboa and the Danish champion Bakken Bears Aarhus are going to compete in Group B. Our team will face the team from Denmark in their FIBA Europe Cup opener to tip-off on Wednesday, 18th October, at 19.00 in Sports Palace Zvezdny.
