“Of course we are happy to win the prestigious pre-season trophy which last year belonged to Zalgiris Kaunas, Euroleague team. Although “Torneo Internazionale citta di Caorle” is a pre-season tournament, that’s good we could win and see our name after the name of Zalgiris. This is valuable for us.

Besides this, tonight we made a rotation. I preferred some players to spend more minutes on the court and Branden not to play tonight as I didn’t want to hurt him. Because Frazier was a little bit injured in the previous semifinal game and we had to take care of him. We started the fourth quarter very well and made too much rotation. They were able to come back with a couple of difficult buzzer-bitter shots. That was really good to watch now that we responded very well in the third quarter and locked the game in the fourth quarter. I’m proud of my players and the way they play with no fear. Now Keravnos is our next target.

We will fly out in the morning and are going to be fully concentrated on what we do. Let’s keep our focus on Keravnos because now the training camp is over. We worked hard here in the best possible way. The wins are important for our players to feel confidence and feel good.”
