Clarke was the best rebounder (6.1 rebounds per game) and the best three-point shooter (49.2% from the arc) of UNICS in the VTB United League last season.
The upcoming season is going to be the fourth for the Arkanzas alumnus as a professional player. In the 2015–2016 season, Clarke spent 46 games for Maine Red Claws in the NBA D-League where his brilliant performance (16.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steal for 26.2 minutes played) allowed him to be named in the All-NBA D-League Second Team as well as to make the NBA debut for Boston Celtics on 15th March 2016. Coty scored 3 points playing 3 minutes on the court in the losing game against Indiana Pacers. However, he was not able to fix himself as an NBA player and signed with UNICS Kazan in July 2016.
The American forward has started the previous season as one of the key players of UNICS Kazan in Euroleague (13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds) and the VTB United League (15.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals). But Coty’s knee was seriously injured on 20th October with 20 seconds to go in the Euroleague game against Brose Bamberg. Avtodor newcomer underwent a knee surgery and appeared on the court only at the beginning of January starting to get himself in shape. Clarke recorded 9.4 points (49.2% three-pointers), 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals for 22.3 minutes in 19 VTB United League games for UNICS. He also spent 12 Euroleague games where his average statistics were 6.1 points (38.1% three-pointers), 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists for 21.2 minutes played.
After UNICS has finished the season, the American forward moved to Puerto Rico. Now he is playing for Capitanes de Arecibo. In 7 BSN games Clarke had a very impressive stats of 19.0 points (45.9% three-pointers), 8.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.9 blocked shots for 33.1 minutes played. His 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the recent game allowed him to receive the BSN Player of the Week 31 Award.
