In December 2016, the Avtodor newcomer participated in the 2016-2017 French league All-Star Game. In the 2016-2017 season, Downs played for Orleans Loiret Basket in the French league where his average statistics were 14.0 points (44.2% three-pointers), 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 0.8 steals for 32.7 minutes played in 26 games. Earlier Micah took part in the All-Star games of the Croatian championship (2010), NBA D-league (2013) and got the Spanish ACB Rising Star Award (2012).

Playing for Avtodor, the American player has been included in the 2014-2015 All-VTB League Second Team and in the 2014-2015 All-FIBA Eurochallenge Team of Non-European Players. Micah has also been named the Avtodor MVP by the fans voting in February and March 2015. Downs played 30 games for Avtodor in VTB United League scoring 12.6 points and collecting 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocked shots for 27.0 minutes avg. per game. His average statistics in 14 FIBA Eurochallenge games were 14.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocked shots for 28.6 minutes.
