"Today we lost a lot of one-on-one plays and in rebounding activity. Additionally, we couldn't create the required pressure in defence and lost the rhythm in the offence. All of that led us to such negative outcome. We are going to correct the mistakes. Our actions have also been influenced by the fact that we had to play immediately after hard practices".



Neptunas won the board with a signigicant advantage (44 vs. 28). Moreover, the Lithuanians shooted well from the arc scoring 13 of 30 threes (43.3%). And only 4 of 15 Avtodor's three-point shots attempts were successful, that is 26.7%. Five basketballers of the host team scored two-digit number of points while Avtodor had only two such players. Branden Frazier had 18 points (3 from 5 threes), 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Nick Minnerath scored 12 points. Yurii Trubin played well scoring 9 points and gaining 3 rebounds. The newcomer Michael Stockton has also scored 9 points adding 3 assists, 3 steals, 2 rebounds and 6 fouls drawn.

Tomorrow, on 17th September, Avtodor are going to play their second game at the Garastas Cup against BC Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (Lithuiania). The Lithuanians secured a 81-69 win against Enisey Krasnoyarsk tonight. The game is to tip-off at 15.00.
