From 2008 to 2014 Semenov participated in the NCAA championship for James Madison University. He won the CAA Conference playing for JMU in the 2012/13 season. He totally played 132 games in the NCAA Championship scoring 9.1 points and gaining 3.9 rebounds for 25.2 minutes average per game.
Last season he participated in 39 games of the Russian Superleague championship for BC "Russia" where his average statistics were 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1 assist for 19:10 minutes. Semenov also play for Cadet and Junior Russian Men's National Teams since 2005 to 2008 scoring 7 points and making 3.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists average per game.
Semenov will wear number 44 on his playing uniform in Avtodor Saratov. The Russian forward is to be added to the team list for the upcoming away game in St. Petersburg versus Zenit.
