Brad GREENBERG
Avtodor Saratov Head Coach:
«We were disciplined and both mentally and physically tough at the defensive end in holding a strong Kazan team to just 66 points. We forced Kazan into 17 turnovers with some aggressive defensive schemes and traps. But we did not capitalize on many of our steals and there were at least 5 fast break advantage situations that we did not convert. That really hurt us. We didn't have the discipline on offense to push the ball like we wanted and we need to move the ball and attack the opponents’ basket more aggressively. On a night where we weren't hitting our outside shots we need to try and get more offense by driving the ball to the basket more. We contained Langford pretty well and forced their strong point guard Colom into 6 turnovers. But meanwhile they combined for 20 of Kazan's 34 2nd half points. We had our chances to gain an important road win. It came down to the last possession and a strong defensive play and block by Langford kept the game from going into overtime».
