In addition to three seasons in Avtodor Saratov, Makiev played for Volzhanin Volzhskiy, Elbrus Cherkessk, Lokomotiv-Kuban-2 Krasnodar, Rodniki Izhevsk, BC Irkut Irkutsk and BC Ryazan earlier. The 2014/2015 season the centre began in Avtodor Saratov. He has participated in 13 games in the VTB United League (3.5 points, 1.5 rebounds for 9.5 minutes average per game) and 6 games in the FIBA EuroChallenge (3.7 points, 0.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists for 12.7 minutes average per game). However, Makiev headed to BC Ryazan in January to significantly enforce the post position of the Superleague club. He played 27 games for BC Ryazan scoring 8.3 points and gaining 5.3 rebounds, 0.8 blocked shots for 20.5 minutes played. After the end of the season, Makiev expectedly returned to Avtodor Saratov.
