Today the Russian Men's Student National Team Vasiliy Karasev announced 12 players to participate in the XXVIII World Summer Universiade. In addition to Avtodor centre Artem KLIMENKO, the roster includes:
Guards: Denis Zakharov (Dynamo Moscow), Mikhail Kulagin (BC Russia Moscow), Artem Komolov, Artem Vikhrov (both from Zenit St. Petersburg), Ivan Strebkov (CSKA Moscow), Victor Zaryazhko (Krasnye Krylia Samara).
Forwards: Pavel Antipov (UNICS Kazan), Alexandr Gudumak (Krasnye Krylia Samara), Stanislav Ilnitckiy (BC Khimki Moscow region), Nikita Barinov (Juventus Utena, Lithuania).
Centre: Andrey Desyatnikov (Zenit St. Petersburg).

The Russian Student Team has played 6 friendly games within the framework of preparation to the Universiade. Avtodor centre Artem Klimenko took part in 5 games becoming the top scorer of his team in three games. Klimenko scored 9.8 points and made 4.6 rebounds for 13.3 minutes played average per game.

The Russian squad will compete in Group B of the Universiade where its opponents are Canada, Mexico, Mongolia, Sweden and Montenegro.
