The Saratov youngsters fought hard against the top club that was playing with the strongest roster for all 40 minutes. The American bunch of Johnathan Motley and Errick McCollum (42 points for two) ensured the win for Lokomotiv Kuban. It was extremely difficult task for our guys to find an antidote against them. The Avtodor players made more turnovers than the opponents (23 to 14) and allowed the hosts to grab 20 offensive rebounds while we took 9 rebounds offensively. Nikita MIKHAILOVSKII stayed close to a triple-double with 21 points (4/6 three-pointers), 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Evgeny MINCHENKO had a double-double of 20 points (8/11 from the game) and 10 rebounds. It was also great game for Anton KVITKOVSKIKH who scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, as well as for Alexander PETENEV recording 10 points, 3 assists and 3 steals.

Thereby, Avtodor has finished the 2021-22 regular season at the 6th place reaching the neutral 9–9 win-loss record. UNICS Kazan will be our opponent in the VTB League Quarterfinals. The first two games will be played on 23rd and 25th April in Kazan.
